BCC collaborates with families as we seek to provide an optimal education and nurturing environment for children. Family participation is welcome and encouraged.  Through your involvement, your children know that they are important and that you trust and value their teachers and school. Blakemore Children’s Center has an open-door policy for parents. You are always welcome to come share a meal with your child, for example. We provide a comfortable space for breastfeeding mothers.

Families are invited to volunteer for school work days, share their personal talents, participate in classroom activities, chaperone field trips, participate in decision making, and assist with fundraising efforts. All families are given the opportunity to provide input into the center’s program and services through annual surveys, discussion at meetings and through conversation with staff. Family involvement is truly the heart of what makes BCC such a vibrant and close-knit community. As a Blakemore family, we welcome your support in any way you are able to participate, by your time, talents or financial assistance. All are of equal importance.
